Artists voices that went south

Arosmith....man retire all ready. His voice is as irritating as a cat getting castrated then dying from it.

McJagger...... Well I'm a little half and half with this guy. That thing between his ears during live performances can't remember half the lyrics and just yells "yahh!".

Tom Waits..... his voice is only good now for show toons and shrek movies.

Britney Spears.....hah...im sure her voice sounded better giving birth.

Don't forget Rod Stewart - Ouch it hurts just hearing it.

Harry Belafonte too.

The guy with the big hair? lol. Studly. He made his own hair turn white.

Ozzy can be added too. How does this stuff still sell? It must be because todays music is just about as horrible as 60+ year old voices.

Agree on all the ones posted (except Tom Waits, maybe). Also, to show my nerdiness, I'll add Pavarotti for the (at least) 10 years before his retirement. I could never understand why everyone loved him until I bought a recording of his from the 70's.

Most music consumers just follow the pretty things on tv and consider anything popular to be good. So they buy the music of has-beens.

I actually like tom waits older voice.

edit

I meant his new voice.

Tom Waits is great for his particular music. Listen to "Murder in the Red Barn" and tell me I'm wrong. Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse has a very sharp, barking, somewhat high voice, but it likewise suits their music, and Paul Banks of Interpol is very nasal, but good again with his music. Britney Spears never sounded good, and I hate Aerosmith and the Rolling Stones anyway too so I'll decline to comment.
