but since all body functions occur in mostly water, can we conclude that cancer occurs in water?

If you are drinking a case of diet soda a day you probably are going to have some side affects from it.

If you are drinking a case of non-diet soda a day you are probably going to have some side affects from it.

If you are drinking a case of beer a day you are probably going to have some side affects from it.

If you are drinking 2 gallons of milk a day you are probably going to have some side affects from it.

If you are drinking 2 gallons of water a day and aren't actually dehyrdating yourself, you are probably going to have some side effects from it.

Moderation is a wonderful thing.

Anything synthetic is worse for your body than what can be found growing naturally. Some are much worse than others.

The high fructose corn syrup that is dumped into non-diet cola is hardly a naturally occuring substance.

I really wonder at how fast a rate we are mutating our DNA (all within 5 generations). I suspect it's more pronounced than we'd care to admit.

Most likely do. One of the artificial sweeteners, mainly used in diet soda, supposedly decomposes multple times in your body, eventually forming formaldehyde. According to my human anatomy/chemistry teacher anywho.

Right, because the FDA is never concerned with money and who's giving it. ;)
