Artifacts

Is there a program out there to test for artifacts? I have OC'd my 6800GT a bit and would like to test for artifacts if I could. I dont see any in games ..... but testing is always fun!

3dmark with repeating tests, I like to repeat each test around 5 times.

Well it will still check for artifacts on nvidia cards ... it has been on mine for 6 mins now. How long should I run this test?

if you get no errors for 30 mins you should be safe, yeah it checks for artifacts on nvidia cards. it will tell you if you get any.

Or you could just run your favorite game for a while and see if you see any little blocks or tearing in the screen.

I am kind of confused with this ATI tool. I have been running it for 40 mins now but it says No errors for 7 mins ..... where would it show me the errors? or does it cycle for about 17 mins? It seems it has "reset" at about 17 mins twice. I havent been sitting here watching the test all that time so I have no idea what it does IF it found an error.

whenever it gets an error the clock resets. so you are getting errors if u ran it for 40 mins and it says "no errors for 7 mins"
so, lower your GPU speeds

Well I lowered my speeds to 400/1100 and no errors after 30 minutes. I guess that is where I will keep it. Thanks for the tips.
