For some odd reason I am starting to get what I assume are artifacts in a couple games. Trophy Hunter 2003 and Links 2003. Vid card is not overclocked. System runs perfect otherwise. I tried taking a couple screenshots but the artifacts do not show up in them. SO I simulated what they basically look with MS Paint [hey, I'm trying]. They are always almost a sky blue color and show up [in games] on snow or in the sky. I have even seen it show up in a few jpegs that have sky in the picture. Here is the pics I doctored up to give you an idea: http://www.pbase.com/lipservice/artifacts

What do you think is causing this? Vid card going bad? It has run GREAT till the last week or so. I ran Artifact Tester 5 from Weak to Hardcore and get 0 Artifacts with it, crazy! Tried earlier set of drivers and got the same artifacts so I do not think it is the drivers, but who knows. I do know the card has a lifetime warranty and I am the original owner so would be no problem getting it RMAed [I hope] 9800 on the way but I want to sort this out so I can sell or trade it in good conscience.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers. Card clean and fan running fine. Tried all kinds of settings in card properties... no difference. System running cool.

Try the 44.03 drivers, IMO, they're the best GF4 Ti drivers. Best visual quality and performance.

MonkeyDriveExpress you hit on something there! The 44.03s show no signs of artifacting whatsoever. Seems the 45.23s do not agree with this card.

Thanks to ya!
