So, here's the scoop.
I built my system early this fall (September) with the following components:
GB DS3 w/ C2D 6300 @3.0
HIS X1900GT stock
FSP 450W PSU
etc.
Anyway, it ran great, everything was stable, and all that jazz for the longest time. I didn't have time to game, so I installed the 6.10 CCC to run the F@H GPU client, which I did near-constantly up until a week ago or so, and hadn't had time for much gaming.
I started gaming again recently, and artifacts are destroying the thing. Oblivion is what I've been playing, but they show up in an older game (Dungeon Siege) as well.
First, I installed the latest CCC and drivers...
Then, I downloaded ATI tray tools to check things out and uninstalled the CCC. By playing around with it, it seems that artifacts appear above about 48 degrees C. Now, I hear about people getting cards up into the 70s-80s, so I wouldn't think this temperature would be a problem.
Any ideas what to do? The card gets up to about 60C while gaming after a while, and the artifacts are annoying.
