Card is Evga 7800 GS Co Superclock. in second machine in my sig. Occasionally my main monitor on this computer. Samsung Syncmaster245bw gets horzontal blue lines that flicker throughout the screen. Turning the monitor off, then back on corrects this issue.
Today I've had the monitor display go out, then come back on sporadically.
Last week I had issues with this machine crashing and re-booting along with squealing noises coming from power supply. I traced one problem back to memory errors and replaced the memory with a 2x1 gig Gskill PC3200 kit and replaced the power supply to a much smaller wattage, but better power supply, Antec 300 watt.
My system has 2 IDE DVD drives an ATA Hard drive and a serial ATA hard drive. A floppy disk drive with memory card reader slots built in....only plugged into the USB header on the motherboard.
The video card also requires a 4-pin molex connector to power it. Is my system underpowered? Or should I think about replacing the video card, with the artifact issues dating way before the hardware errors began?
