I've recently built a new system. abit ip35e(had this for a while), q9400 @ 3.4ghz(stable), 6gb ram, gtx 260 evga. i haven't had a problem since i bought the card on ebay. haven't OC'd the gpu either. since this morning i started noticing little pixels flashing around in quite areas in bad company 2. figured it was the game until i just got to my desktop and see the same thing. as of right now my cpu temps is 44c, gpu temp is 55c. drivers are the 196.21s, win 7 64 bit.

could the card i bought be bad and just now showing signs? perhaps the previous ebay owner OC'd and got rid of it on my dime?

Generally speaking, flashing pixels is a sign of a dying video card.

I would give the new 197.13's a shot... and for what it's worth my Asus 5850 artifacts on one map in BC2 @ stock. All other maps and games run perfect with no issues at all. Could be a game/driver issue. I also had an issue with my eVGA GTX 285 dropping down to 2d clocks while playing left 4 dead... The only thing that helped me was changing the Adaptive Power Management Mode option to Prefer Maximum Performance. Hopefully you figure it out soon so you can get back in BC2!!! Good luck!
