first of all my system is:
ecs k7s5a
duron 1.3
512 pc133
128 mb ti4200

when i play tiger woods there are artifacts all over the place. i can play call of duty fine on 800x600. 3dmark doesnt have any artifacts at all. is it just because my system is slow that there are artifacts on tiger woods or is there a problem with the video card? i can still send the card back but i have a new motherboard and an xp 2500 barton on the way. im wondering if the games will work fine with the new parts or if i should just get a different video card.

any ideas?

Having a slow system will never cause artifacts. Is the card overclocked? If it's not overclocked and you're sure you have enough airflow in the case, I would send it back. Probably a bad card.

Start with the basics - don't overclock anything and make sure you have the latest BIOS, chipset drivers and GPU drivers for your system.

Weird that 3DMark wouldn't have artifacts and a game would but either way give your roommmate a smack! ;)
