Artifact Tester

What's a good program for testing for artifacts on my overclocked R9700? And don't say watch 3dMark because I hate sitting through a 3dMark session with a passion. 🙂 Thanks.

That program only does Direct X 7.0 testing. Is that adecquate?

play a game for an extended period of time....
if you are gonna artifact in 3dmark, you will also artifact in a game just the same

Which card you got? Ive got the sapphire 9500NP. Heres a list of games i have loaded on winXP and run with no artifacts at 330/295:

3dmarks 2002
Quake 3
Ureal Tourney
Unreal 2k3
Max Payne
Tony Hawks 2
RTCW
WC3
Battlefield 1942
EmpireEarth
NBA live 2003
Madden 2003
NHL 2002
NFS Hot Pursuit

Try running these games. BTW I play all of these games at 1028x768 32BIT with FSAA/AA on Max settings smooth as silk.

he said he has a 9700, although whether its pro or not i dont know

I'm running a 9700 Pro. Yes I play games on it. Reason I asked for an artifact tester is it should hopefully find problems faster and more accurately than a quick visual look. Only 3d game that would really stress my sys atm is BF1942. I'll probably borrow UT2k3 from a friend to test with too. I tried Artifact Tester 5, but it was worthless. Never detected anything and only tested DX7. Currently I'm running at 344.25/337.50 stable.
