Quickie question.. maybe two or three...

How old is too old for ArticSilver 3? The tube I have was kept at room tempurature and as upright as possible (nose down) for a long time. I don't know the exact age but it's as old as an Athlon XP Thoroughbred CPU. It ought to give you a bit of an idea just how long ago I bought it. I have used this a few times. But now that I am getting some new parts in, I'm wondering if the tube is still usable.

If the answer is yes, is there any steps needed before I apply it? What should I do as recommendation so that the AS3 performs "just like new"?

It has never seen the sun, at all. It sits in a small nook & cranny on a shelf where it can hide itself from everything else. It also stands as upright as it can. I'm not sure about it being air tight so I cannot answer that portion. Still, it'd be nice if I can determine if the tube's still good w/o having to resort to buying a tube of AS5. If I can get a small tube for about a few dollars out the door, I'd go for it on the spot. Otherwise, I'd like to do a little penny pinching and see if this stuff still works and perform after sitting idly for so long on the shelf.
