Article suggestion

When the next generation of products makes it out (high end and "SE" versions) and maybe after DoomIII and or HalfLife2 are released, how about a comprehensive and historical review. I know the suggestion is a massive undertaking, finding older cards and proper drivers, plus running them all thru all of the tests, but it would be informative and helpful for people interested in making an upgrade. I don't know how far back it would be neccessary to go, but if your system rig stats are right you still have 348 users with 3dfx cards, you might go at least that far back.

People with old outdated cards would be able to directly compare how much of a performance boost they could get switching from say a Voodoo3 to one of todays low end cards, or from a Geforce3MX to , oh well you get the idea.

It would also be a very interesting look at the rate of advancement of video cards. A little look at how the prices trend over the same time relative to performance and a look at the logic of buying the best of todays technology for tomorrows games.

the review could go one step further though, by benchmarking the cards on low end, midrange, and high end PCs.
and maybe overclocking of each card.

it'll never happen...a review like that would take months to put together (or so the reviewers would say)

which would render them somewhat irrelevant by the time article was printed. one driver release could easily change all the results....
