Artic Silver Vs. Anti-Sieze

I know i'll get flamed,but can an expert tell me why it would'nt work?Will it dry out?Is it too thin in comparison to AS?How can AS not conduct electrical current?I think the anti-sieze is aluminum particles.You may ask why chance it over $13,I'm not being cheap,just curious.
 
Ive actually used antiseize and other variants... they all seem to work.. 🙂 But then I rarely have one in the system long enough to see if it will dry up.
 
I have tried the Antiseize (copper) the problem I found is that it is a little course the copper particles are a little big for this job at least the kind I used. The processor ran about 7degrees warmer than with Arctic Silver.

Anti-seize is based on several types of metal like copper (as mentioned) and others with graphite and petrolem products to keep it in suspension (fluid like). I dont think Aluminum is used because of the galling properties of Al. There is a type of anti-seize that might work very well except for the condutive properties and that is the Nickle based type for extreme pressure and temp... As for Artic Silver I cant answer as to why it is none conductive???

 
I use to use antiseize in industrial applications and it does dry out at high temp. As far as articsilver, It is prolly suspended in a silicone oil. Silicone oil is used in large electrical transformers as it is non conductive. Prolly with a high enough film strength it would not be electrically conductive unless under high pressure. This is what they advertise. Seems logical. And I don't care if it is silicone or silicon everyone knows what I mean. HTH
