Artic Silver or Artic Silver 3.

Ok ok, I am a little bored and here comes a stupid question. I will be receiving a new cpu and have artic silver (original) from two years ago, and also I can borrow some AS 3 from a friend. Which one should I use? My artic silver has done the job for my last three cpu. Hmmm

Your thoughts fellow overclockers?

Actually Arctic Silver (the original) was susceptible to pump out (from expansion and contraction). That was one of the primary reasons for Arctic Silver II. I don't know that it would make a big difference with the large heatspreader of the P4 though.

Go with the AS3, it has better consistency and performance than the AS original. If you did not store the AS original in an upright position (tip down), then there would also be some particle separation over a two year period.
