I am currently using AS3 to cool my Taisol heatsink. Right now I'm getting 30-35C idle and 40-45 under full load with my Barton 2500+. Will I see any improvement going to AS5?
If you like the consistency of peanutbutter you'll love AS5.
LOL!
That's some thick stuff. I got some with my water cooling kit. I do like it.
I don't think you will see any performance difference between the two, but from what I have been told the AS5 resists being pushed out from under the HSF as easily.
The tech writeup for AS5 says because there's 3 different-sized silver granules in it, it takes around 20 hours of use and 5 cycles (power-offs and ons) for it to completely set, and you could see up to 5*C change.
