I was wondering if anyone has installed a arctic cooler on there 9800pro. I was wondering how easy it was, and the possible pitfalls one could incounter when installing this cooler. I have a sapphire 9800pro and would like to know if anyone who has this card has installed in on theres. Thanks

I have a BBA radeon 9800 pro, had no problem doing it, it took about 10 minutes. I used AS5 though instead of the white silicone crap they include. Overall it got me an extra 15MHz overclockability.... too bad 9800 pro's don't have temp monitors, but its VERY cool to the touch now, and before it gave off some serious heat.

I also got some of these for the ram : http://www.svc.com/cobgarachhe.html I'd recommend them as well, work very well...

I just changed from a Zalman ZM80C-HP to the Artic cooling, and my case temps dropped 6C... :-O

CPU temp went down a couple degrees, card is much cooler... Good deal. Just a tad noisier.

There are two modes: silent (5V I think) and normal (12V). The silent mode is indeed very silent while the normal mode is about equal with the stock fan ( it actually might be a bit more in terms of dB(A) but due to the bigger fan it's not as high-pitched and thus not as annoying).
