I watched a few documentaries on it. Beyond impressive. I hope to come home to good news tomorrow eve. Still remember the Apollo years. I remember waiting for Apollo 13 to come back around the dark side and re-establish radio contact. Seemed the longest live stretch of static broadcast in radio history.

Holding at T -40 minutes; I suspect a scrub for today, too many independent issues.

$4b per launch vs Elon's slimy fish-belly white a$$ owning the US Space program sounds like a terrific deal to me.

Well, in defense of NASA, planning for the SLS probably started before Elon was born. And as the old saying goes, it may not be Mr. Right but it's definitely up for being Mr. RightNow.

edit: sorry, the correct spelling of the latter is actually Mr. Right_the_f***_Now

Well that really sucks! o_O

Doesn't that mean it will be several weeks until the next launch-window?

Pretty sure I read that if they miss the "announced" launch-windows above it would be October before they could go again?

Artemis, goddess of the hunt, is going back to the nest to be fitted with an adult rocket diaper.

edit - they were showing the whole rig in the background and you could see the treads on the crawler slowly circulating on its way back to the VAB
