I got an email from ZZF today with a deal on the Artec T14A Mini USB 2.0 Digital TV Tuner. I googled to see if I could find any reviews but got very few results in Engilsh.

Here is theCompany Site.

Has anyone heard of this company or product before? It seems like the Hauppauge USB PVR standard def cards work well, and with regular HDTV cards costing $200+ is it worth the $100 to see if it is a decent USB HDTV PVR?

Hmm, I've never heard of it and don't see any search results at AVS Forum. If you decide to try it out please let us know how it is. Be aware that HDTV cards aren't $200 though. You can get the VBOX Cat's Eye USB HD tuner for $109 at PC Alchemy. Also, the Avermedia A180 is only $70 there.

HDTV Wonders are in the $70 range, and work like a charm, especially in MCE.

That said, USB may be much better than PCI if you're planning on system upgrades. PCI is obsolete going away, yet there aren't any good PCIe solutions for HDTV yet (or SD, for that matter, if we define "good" as "dual tuner"). USB2 easily has the bandwidth to handle 2 SD and 2 HD tuners!
