Yea I see posts all the time like "what do you make a year?" , "whats your SAT scores?" and "whats your IQ?" which usuually turn out to be just a reason to brag....oh wait...

I've visited the big three (IMO) forums, HardOCP, here, and Ars. From what I see, HardOCP seems to be the most juvenile, ArsTechnica the oldest (and lamest), and here at anand's it seems to be just the right mix. Post response is fast, and the people are nice without being complete jackasses if say something wrong. I'm sure glad I found this forum. 🙂😀🙂😀

The average IQ on the ARS soapbox is at least 50 points higher than it is here. The division of soap box and lounge make it a much more enjoyable place to go and talk politics, literature or whatever. You don't have to wade through all the intellectually stimulating threads we have here ("What's for lunch?", "Do I need a passport to go to Mexico?"). Although I usually find myself getting pounded on by the distinctly liberal crowd over there at least the arguments are coherent and backed up with links (Providing credible links is a requirement over there or you will be laughed out of the thread). It is far superior to this board and I find that I am spending more time over there and less time here for the reasons I have already stated.

Completely agree about Ars Soapbox, it's much better at controversial discussion then ATOT. One day I might actually subscribe at Ars, so I can once again get into the Soapbox discussion.
