Fedex is 10 times worse IMO. One day they won't deliver a package because they claim your business is closed (even though it isn't), the very next day they just leave your package sitting outside (on a Friday evening). How nice of them.

Total opposite here. I won't touch UPS with a 10 foot pole, but fedex has ALWAYS been good to me.

Damn, what kind of ignorant shizznit is this? I and other people spent a good amount of time talking about why UPS doesn't suck in the last two threads... and here you come along creating a new thread COMPLETELY ignoring what good people have to say. From what you say, it seems like you've read the other threads... so WHY did you make a new one? WHY WHY WHY? Not only that, you're complaining about something small! The least you could do is have a BIG problem that's actually worthy of its own thread!

UPS does NOT guarantee ground package delivery to residential addresses you fool. The service isn't bad, they're just busy. Deal with it or dish out more $$ for faster/guaranteed service.

F you and your thread.

Yeah, I remember the strike they had 4 years ago. I also remember UPS signing a new6 year deal with the Teamsters recently.

I also HATE UPS with a passion! Im in Canada and they hit me with HUGE taxes when anything comes from the US regardless of if its used or not. Just a real piss off and most of the time their tracking lies to me.

Okay now you are just dumb. Please don't make comments when you are wrong and have no clue what you are talking about ... here is a quote from UPS Itself

What does UPS guarantee?
How about on-schedule delivery of your package or your money back? When you ship a package via UPS SonicAir BestFlightSM, UPS Worldwide Express PlusSM, UPS Worldwide ExpressSM, UPS Worldwide ExpeditedSM, UPS Standard To Canada, UPS Next Day Air Early A.M.®, UPS Next Day Air®, UPS Next Day Air Saver®, UPS 2nd Day Air A.M.®, UPS 2nd Day Air®, UPS 3 Day Select ® and UPS Ground, you'll get guaranteed on-schedule delivery. In the event that we fail to complete delivery or attempt delivery within the time commitment, we will credit or refund your shipping charges upon request to the payor. Please see Terms and Conditions for a more detailed explanation.

Okay so NOW you must feel stupid. Don't come in here and crap on my thread. This is the off topic forum, to discuss whatever I feel like discussing. And from my personal experience, and alot of others, UPS has the crappiest service around. I don't care how busy they are. It's their job to get packages on time, not a day or two late. When this happens repeatedly, that makes it even worse.

So in closing F-U ... and my package STILL isn't here (25 hours after it was "Out for Delivery")

UPS charges taxes? When did this happen? Last time I checked only national governments could do that......

BTW, the letter i recieved monday says they reached a handshake agreement but have yet to have anything on paper.

You sir, are an idiot.

I work for a shipping place, so I KNOW what the truth is here. UPS ground packages to commercial addresses ARE guaranteed within 5 days (not necessarily their scheduled date, as there can be problems). UPS ground packages to residential address can arrive 6 years later, and you can't do jack sh!t about it.. read the book they send out to all of their Authorized Shipping Outlets, or even read their terms of service (the FULL thing), and you'll see that I'm correct.

I hate UPS b/c if you aren't home to catch the delivery, then you got to wait 3 days b/f they hold it off the truck for you. FedEx on the otherhand, lets me pick up the package from their warehouse the same day they try to deliver it.

LOL, oh man this is going to be sweet. I had a feeling you were going to try to say something like that. Unfortunately you fell into my trap.

UPS Ground Webpage
Allow me to quote, "For all commercial addresses, UPS guarantees the day of delivery for every ground package you ship within the 48 contiguous states.

Tell me, purbeast0, how does it feel?

Also, this may be Off-Topic, but REPOSTS are still generally frowned upon. Recent thread with a guy that had roughly the same problems you did. Yet you posted another thread basically stating the EXACT SAME THING. However, the creator of the other thread actually shipped with a faster service, but he didn't mention it in the thread. So, that makes your thread SUPER POINTLESS. You have no right to complain. You got the service you paid for. You're calling UPS service "crappy" because you don't want to pay the extra $5 for faster guaranteed service? I bet you bitch and moan when you lose the lottery too. HELLLLLLLOOOOO?

It feels oh-so-good to be right!

If you miss the delivery from UPS, then you can just sign the form they tape to the door and they'll come back tomorrow and leave the package in front of your house. You also have the option of picking it up at the local hub if you're not home when they try to deliver. UPS does this in some parts of the country as a safety precaution. They don't want to just leave it on your front step and have it stolen. Come on, be reasonable. You're totally wrong about this "wait 3 days BS" too.
