ah shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh1t.

i messsed around iwth it with too many bluint instruments. now the screw has been messed up to the point where nothing works on it. in fact, i remembered (after using my EIGHTEENTH DIFFERENT THING) that i had a kit in a box that woul dhave bene perefct for it. but now the stupid screw is all fscked up and i cant open it no matter what.

does anybody have any clue how you can remove a screw that had its face peeled away so much that a normal screwdriver cant effect it?
thanks.

I was just thinking glue to it something disposable, maybe a paperclip and use it to twist it out...

they should do a better design job, all the screws for memory and hd on my thinkpad can use a full size stanley screwdriver

back

but anyways back to ur issue, go to the hardware store they sell things to help repair stripped screws

There is deffinetly a price to be paid, but I think it was worth it. My old T20 is like new after 2 years of use (great warranty too), my friend who got a Dell at the same time has had much more trouble than me.

T20 was $1250 direct from ibm off ebay two years ago
T23 is from work
X31 was ~$1650 w/ employee discount
