I almost lost a piece of flesh off of my lip today after the 4th time I bit that same spot..

Do you usually do the "napkin test" to see if you're actually bleeding? The first blotting usually yields a small tan stain, but the second is a full-blown red splotch. And don't you love that scrunching/tearing sound that it makes when your bicuspid tears into your tender membrane?

Now I'm just being gross, but you know what I'm talking about.
