Arrogant kid...

Today I decided to visit my old highschool because I thought it would be interesting to see how it has changed since I left. I wandered around the school for my old teachers and just hung out with some people I knew (some were freshmen when I left). So as I was checking out my old classes, I went to the electronics class that I had back when I was a freshman.

So I talked with the electronics teacher about the "good ol'e days" etc. etc. I was talking with him in front of a student who was working on a computer and said, "this should be interesting" (Implying it would be interesting to see this kid try to diagnose the computer). And out of the blue a kid out of the middle of nowhere started to pressuring me for computer questions. He thought he was so smart because he claimed that he built "500 computers", has an Ebay store and nothing much else... He then started to ask me random things like "can you program HUM HUM!?!?! you know C++ is the fastest programming language" in a very speedy voice. He said all of these thing so quickly that I didn't even get a chance to respond.

The kid then asked me, "do you know what overclocking is, HUM HUM??!?!?! I BET you don't!" In attempt to answer his question, I responded as quickly as possible saying what my gaming rig is but he interrupted me and said, "You know nothing about computers bye!!". As he was leaving I asked "why do I know nothing about computers?" He said, because you don't know what AMD is" and he mumbled something else...

This is mostly a rant, but how in the hell could he have come to the conclusion that "I know nothing about computers because I have an intel gaming rig"?

(I hate kids..... for the most part)

Sounds like the "computer people" at my school.

:cookie: ?

BTW, regardless of how much you do or don't know, the correct way of dealing with someone like that is calming stating "I have a bigger penis than you do" and refusing to acknowledge them further.

lmao

I have a buddy who's little brother sounds exactly like that kid, he sounds more like a dork than someone smart

AMD gaming rigs, pffff, your a computer noob. You shoulda just been like "do you know what a vagina is, now shut up" then laughed at him for a bit and walked away after he started crying.

Lol, best comeback ever.

WTF are you doing going back to your old HS? You one of those nerds that wasn't anything but a speck on a fly's ass when you were there, but you think going back now makes you cool?

heh, that's why geeks rarely succeed.

I think he was 14.. I asked him while he was mumbling about programming languages if he could program in assembly and he said "it the easiest of all to use" my ass easy... I wouldn't be surprised if this kid also believed that he was "a hacker"....

No, I wasn't a geek in HS.. While I knew quite a bit about computers and electronics, I never really discussed it with my friends because they would most likely get disinterested or confused. I only discussed it with people who weren't geeks but knew something about electronics/computers.. I had a lot of friends in HS who were what some would say "the INcrowd".
