Arrogant and confidence

The funny thing is, I've found most people who I would consider arrogant, are actually quite unsure of themselves. They put up the cocky, arrogant front to throw people off.

i think they're pretty close though, i completely agree with blamohammer, but i'll add that arrogance also involes thinking that you can do something and do it better

And then making sure you tell everyone around how much better you did it. There is an extremely fine line between the two and really comes down to a case by case basis.

Maybe it's "confidence" when you're actually right and "arrogance" when you're actually wrong 😀

Seriously though, I think it's a really fine line. To me, arrogance just means overconfidence.

but if you have very valid reasons to be confident and look down upon others because of it, you would be arrogant.

Confidence is when you can do it but you don't go and tell everybody at every opportunity. Arrogance would be displaying a sense of self-importance regardless if you are compotent or not.

At least this is so in my book.

Arrogance is believing you are right and everyone who disagrees is wrong/misguided, and that you are innately superior to everyone on the other side of the fence from you.

Confidence is knowing you might be right or wrong, and that you very might well be inferior or superior, but fvck it, your thoughts/opinions/actions mean something because they are genuinely from you and there's no way to improve yourself unless you stick to them.
