I built my brother a computer..........is a nice one 1900xp with 512 mgs of pc2700 ram...
Anyway, for some reason his internet connection is f00ked up
Background:
When I used Windoze I used to have to connect 3 times or so to get connected to the net. The other times would connect, but I couldn't get any data from websites (Its like the connection was establshed, but it just doesn't send anything).
When I switched to Linux this went away entirely (no "lag time" i could surf immediately) even though I had a winmodem .
Now I used to think it was b/c my Pc wasn't fast enough (its 500mhz) so my bros 1900+ should be fine...nope
He just can't connect to the net no matter what! Maybe thrice its worked, but it was connected at 28.8 or less.
He connects (It says "connection established" in Win2k Pro) but it doesn't send info at all!
Any help?
