Ameritrade's Bid Wins Datek Auction


I didn't even know Datek was up for sale. I haven't heard that much about Ameritrade but what little I have hasn't been that good.

Any Ameritrade traders here?, how's the service. Any other recomendations on a brokerage?

insane wall street daytrading hype sweeps america. a ton of online brokerages open to meet the demand (of course hiring an outside clearing firm to do the actual trading, god forbid they actually have to buy a seat on an exchange) and perpetuate the hype

market downturn and theres semi-rapid industry consolidation from the absolute glut of internet brokerages
