jeez, citing more cost acquiring channel, they tack on $5 to my bill starting next month.
lemme see, now I paid $50 for digital *my azz* cable with no premium channel.
add on $40 for broadband, that's $90 a month. holy crap!
some digital that I got, most lower number channel (network TV) are still crappy looking.
only certain channels are nice looking.
I feel like I'm being milked every month.
how's everybody's bill ??
btw, I use Cox Cable.

The newspaper just said that Comcast is trying to buyout AT&T Cable/Broadband which would give them control of 8 of the top 10 markets in the US & make them the largest in the country. With that kind of monopoly, you know they will continue to go up. The retard that I am...I just signed up for local phone service through comcast...to go along with my TV for $50, my internet for $40....plus of course the $80 in miscellanous fees that they tack on ($4.95 "franchise fee"...WTF). :|

Mine is actually going down a couple dollars for basic 55 or so channel. But, it'll be going up around $45 when I get digital and twenty-one movie channels.

EDIT: My bill is going to be around $125-$130 a month for digital with twenty-one premium channells and roadrunner.

I've never had satelite before only cable so I have a question. With satelite would I be able to get my local channels. My parents want to watch the news and stuff like that. There's no way I could convince them if they couldn't watch the local news every night.

I also have Adelphia and pay 40 for regular cable. The digital cable they offer sucks. I tried it out and all of my channels came in blurred and in lines...until digital cable improves....i am staying away from it. Plus...it is like an additional 20-30 bucks a month. No thanks !!!

Verizon Americast in Southern California Digital Cable (Everything is crystal clear except local stations)

104 channels (local and cable channels)
42 Music Channels (Pretty stupid its like MTV with no videos I'm sure you've seen it.

28.95 for the above

9 channels of HBO

10.95 for the HBO

Cable service (Upload capped at 128kB/ Download uncapped I can get about 4mbps)

5.00 modem rental
36.95 modem service

Grand total for 155 channels and cable modem
