K, my hard drive is powering down every two idle minutes. It then winds back up when I go to use it. Power management is disabled in bios and in windows it is set to never shut down. I'd say it's a hardware issue, as I can have it sitting in bios and it will shut down the same as if I were booted into windows...I have the drive on the primary channel by itself, then cdrom & zip on secondary, and cdrw on promise onboard...

<edit>Went and set it to 15 min in bios and it stopped shutting it off every two minutes, then reset it to disabled and it seems to be working okay...weird...</edit>
