It is an amazing show, but not the best ever... I went for easily one of the top 2... It's one of the most hilarious shows I've ever seen in my life...

I couldn't stand it. I was a big fan of Seinfeld and watched the first few eps eagerly after hearing so much praise from the Seinfeld crowd. Disappointed, I hoped the first few eps just sucked and the show would get better... it didn't.

Used to be my favorite. Now it wobbles between first and second with The Office (US), with Office season 2 taking the crown for best comedy ever.

My only issue with Arrested Development is that I didn't really *care* for the characters. There were never any serious consequences for their actions, so there was never any worry for them.

I'm sure. In fact, it caused me to lose my interest in that show, which I'd also heard so much praise for. I still haven't bothered renting it, though at some point I probably will. With the garbage on the airwaves these days it can't help but be decent. Then again, that's what I thought about Arrested Development...

Yup. The only character with a story I actually cared about at all was George Michael and his forbidden love...

Every other character was just a tool to make me laugh...

Mind you, the writers did do a good job with running jokes...which helped to tie the stories together.

i think season 3 was the best season. i couldn't stop laughing my ass off throughout the whole thing.

arrested development has the best writing of any show, ever, hands down. for example, when the house foundation fails and sinks a little into the basement area, maeby and george michael start kissing and gob walks in on them and says "dad's going to be crushed"... what he really meant was that george bluth was in the basement and the house was going to crush him. (i guess it's one of those things you have to see to laugh about)

the last lesson was, "and that's why you don't teach lessons to your son" haha... that was hilarious because his dad was teaching him a lesson for teaching his son a lesson.
