Does anyone know why they never brought criminal charges against Micheal Jackson the first time?

Cuz the kid sued Jackson instead of going to the police. They settled out of court and I guess part of the settlement was that the kid wouldn't file criminal charges.

My question is what sane parent would allow their child to visit this guy unsupervised after the 1993 incident?

Ha!

In all seriousness, no matter what HE (Michael) says, sleeping with children is just plain wrong.
And where the heck are the parents of these children? They don't know what their kids are doing?

Seriously. And the parent or parents obviously only cared about the $$ since they sued instead of going to police.

The kid's mom was more interested in a large amount of cash at that time I think.
Michael claimed he didn't do it in public, but paid them a substantial amount of cash to keep their mouths shut.

I heard that the warrant had NOT been issued for his arrest. CourtTV said it had been but some other group said no...

He settled with the family and they would not testify so they had nothing to go on...

That would be incorrect. You can not settle a civil suit that disallows the criminal process. I am not sure of the reason but I am sure that was not it, and even if it were the kid could still go to the police- that part of the contract would be unenforceable.

Damn, I just read all that. While there is no way of knowing what is the truth and what is made up (money is huge motivation here), still who would want their kids to hang around this guy!
