if she had really long hair and went to short, they do charge extra, especially since extra styling is needed. a man's 15 dollar haircut where you go "a two on the sides, slight fade," etc etc is a lot easier to do than "take off about six inches, layered, feathered" etc. most of the stylists will come up with something for you and charge for that also.

and of course, leave a good tip. if you go to a good stylist all the time, you want to insure good service each time you go back.

did she go to a really nice salon?

i wouldn't know, i go to a cheap salon that does bargain hair cuts at six bucks (in san jose, ca) but when i get my hair cut and dyed she only charges me 50 bucks. of course i get referrals for her and have been going to her for years.

I feel your pain.

My girlfriend just told me that she got all her hair chopped off, and it's short now.

I, too, hate impluse.. plus, I think she has beautiful hair and generally find women with long hair more attractive.

And she has bangs now. :Q I've never seen her with bangs.

It will be interesting. As you say, I'll get used to it. She's still her, it'll be OK.
