What a disappointment. I tried so hard to stop thinking of the book which I happened to have reread a few months ago because I know Hollywood is rarely faithful to the author's original works. What is sad is the fact that the original has more than enough material to make into a two hour movie yet it was mostly ignored in favor of a wholly different story.

Even if I think of it only as entertainment it stunk. Now I know what Harry Potter readers felt like when the movies left out a lot or changed things.

I loved the book, I loved the first movie, and i love Jackie Chan.

Well, there were a few good moments in the film but yeah, it sucks.

RANT: what's up with the NO OUTTAKES? I realize 99% of the people left before the credits but the outtakes are always great in Jackie Chan, and the fight scenes were actually excellent, if you could stop barfing long enough from the rest of the crap to notice the fights. Gotta wait for the DVD I guess - but I sure don't wanna buy this DVD.

Yeah, I saw your thread concerning the no outtakes but I didn't bump it because I wanted to expound on how much the movie sucked in all other ways! LOL :D

If it makes you and your wallet feel better you can get the previewed version from Lackluster Video so you won't spend as much.

Damn man, didn't you see the previews?

I like Jackie Chan and all, but watching the previews for this movie was painful. I can't imagine sitting through the whole movie.

And to think, you wasted 1.5 hours of potential BF42/Vietnam time.:D

All the recent Jackie Chan movies suck... I won't even bother with this one, probably wont even rent it when it comes out on dvd...

well bummer. i was planning on going to see it this weekend. guess i will wait until its on DVD.

yeah the harry potter movie left out and changed a LOT! but if they tried to be true the movie would have been what 8 hours? heh

he's hideously, embarassingly bad in this one - but not QUITE bad enough to be funny :( .
