Arnold's dad was a Nazi.

So says this article.

But Arnold seems to be allright considering.......

For one thing, he is quite liberal as far as Republicans go. He supports abortion rights and gun controls, and said the impeachment of President Clinton made him "ashamed to be a Republican".

You can support gon control and abortion rights and not be liberal. However, if you say every citizen in california shouldnt ever have a firearm at all and we will take them by force now that liberal. Just my thouhts.

Just about anyone who was in government during that time was a nazi. You signed up, or lost your job. He was just a flunkie policeman.

Now the SS, or the brownshirts, they were true Nazis 🙁

Oh yah and of course our current administration are Nazis, the TV tells you what to do, france is great.

From Slate

"Rather than confront his Waldheim problem head-on, Schwarzenegger has proclaimed his disgust for Nazism, raised money for education about the Holocaust, traveled to Israel (where he met with then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin), and given generously to the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, which in 1997 bestowed on him its National Leadership Award. "He wants no truck with ? Waldheim," the Wiesenthal Center's Rabbi Marvin Hier told the Jerusalem Post. "He probably did not have any clue as to the seriousness of the allegations against Waldheim at that time [i.e., 1986]. To suggest that Arnold's an anti-Semite is preposterous. He's done more to further the cause of Holocaust awareness than almost any other Hollywood star."

let me set this matter STRAIGHT for all the NON-GERMANS/non-europeans out there.

I am a german and i get soo pissed everytime some says "nazi" about soemthing simply because it is european.

Everytime I have been asked my ethnic background and i reply german someone says either "youra nazi eh?" or asks if my grandfather was nazi.

Some of the idiots around school actually say "hey nazi wazzup!" I never mention nazi's and have taken every opportunity (where my ethnic background comes up) to say that i hate evil tyrants.

Do you think that since im german i am somehow supporting evil psycotic tyrants? Do you for some stupid reason think that everyone loved hitler??

BECAUSE SOMEONE IS EUROPEAN DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING SO STOP F-ING BRINGING UP NAZI'S!!!!!!!!!!

His father, years ago, was supposedly a Nazi.

What does that have to do with Arnie and his candidacy?
Is Arnie a Nazi? Will his father share power? No? Then who the fvck cares?!

Yeah, have had that happen to me before. Still, I don't think it matters if his dad was, most people didn't have a choice.

Nazi was just the German version of Neocon.

Usually the left will call any Republican a Nazi. Moonie on the other hand has the class to just call the Neocon's, his boogymen of the day, Nazis.

They left is good at labeling and calling names, that's about it though.

eXoR and Konigin: Thank you for your responses. eXoR: Are you at school here in the states?

So what if Arnold's dad was an NSDAP member? Big deal! Arnold obviously is not.

Dr. Wernher von Braun and many of his fellow aerospace engineers who immigrated to the USA after WWII were also a members of the NSDAP. How many Americans complained about that particular aspect of their respective past while Neil Armstrong walked on the Moon?

A great number of former NSDAP members made significant and truly valuable contributions to post-WWII humanity. Professor Martin Heidegger, former UN Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim, former German Chancellor Kurt Georg Kiesinger and aircraft engineer/designer Willy Messerschmidt are among them.

If you wern'nt NAZI in those days it was like being the dixie chicks..They stripped you livlyhood and ability to make money with social pressure.

The Republicans only accept him because his dad was a Nazi, then. 😉

Um, no. If you weren't a Nazi, and spoke out against them, then the SS took you in the middle of the night, and shot you in the back of your head.

Nice try asshat.
