Yes this has been circulating around the net for some four years now...

The test is real, the video edit is atrocious. Anyone that's been in the field knows hits downrange are seen a second or more before the explosion is heard and felt. Roughly five seconds per mile of downrange dx...

If you have power point or a power point viewer you may find This little slideshow of interest.

Good Lord looking at that powerpoint.....that is INSANE....the engine landed 65 METERS away....thats fvckin ridiculous

i'm sure iraq had tons of those t72's or whatever during gulf 1. 4000 tanks destroyed.. shame they didn't video it.

I heard it was one of if not the greatest tank battle in history, and no record of it...

i believe the javelin can smoke a M1A2 as well

Almost every current tank is designed as an anti-tank weapon - so, its protection for other kinds of threats is somewhat forgotten. The best armored area is the front of the turret, with the sides less armored and the rear of the turret even less armored. The top... well, we better don't say anything.
The russian older design (T54) with the bubble turret has better top turret protection (but less space inside).
