Didn't work here. Had to cut and paste.

Edit: Something to do with IE popup blocker. Once I closed it down, the drag and drop worked fine.

very old, but im not sure how good it is in real pratice since look at the delay in it..try that on a tank even moving ag 30 mph with a machine gun firing at you. But still impressive.

Crazy video.

I know a guy at work who worked on testing the anti tank stuff. Basically they set the charge so that it ejects the rocket in to like a plastic. It turns the metal in to like a plastic and comes out like a javelin and just blasts through the armour. It explodes not on impact but a few metres out so it can ram 'through' the armour. I probably left out lots of other details but that is the gist. Pretty amazing stuff. He said at the time (about 15yrs+ ago) that it would make holes in 2m thick steel blocks!

thats very possible..since the javelin hit the tank from the top using gravity assist + thrust from rocket. Plus the armour on top of the tank is fairly weak...

i believe the javelin can smoke a M1A2 as well

you are talking about a shaped charge. it creates a liquid 'jet' of metal (typically copper) that can penetrate almost any type of passive armor. however, given the explosion that took place from the impact in the video, i think that was a high explosive round.
