i'm a big army related movie Fiend ( sp) i trying to gather a big batch of army related movies.

I just finished the manchurian candidate. And now i'm in the mood to gather movies like this of the same type. I got 1/2 the collection of band of brothers. But i'm looking for this one movie in particalar where this the main guy kills a village of people because he is trigger happy and he loves to show off by throwing his guy from the left to right.

But anyways can you guys give you like a nice list of army related movies in the past 6 years that came out on DVD. I want to start building a collection starting with the band of brothers and manchurian candiate

Fanatic might be better suited then fiend.

Otherwise I would say "Saving Private Ryan" would be a movie to look into.

Black Hawk Down is probably the most realistic portrayal of modern Army combat operations that you can see without doing a tour in Iraq. Definitely get that film.

I've seen a ton of war movies but to be honest, black hawk down has to be my favourite--slightly moreso then Saving Ryan's Privates even. I just find it most realistic.

some other WW2 movies:

big red 1
bridge too far
and any other ww2 movie that didn't have John Wayne (he may be a decent cowboy, but he doesn't cut in a war flick IMO)

For a more plot-driven army movie, try that one with Samuel L Jackson where he face trial in front of a military court, while he's represented by Tommy Lee Jones.

Key line: "Waste the motherfvckers!"
