I have an old beater of a car, a 1986 volvo wagon, i don't think it has been professionally cleaned ever. I am looking to clean it up big time, since i have a lot of free time on my hands. I plan on washing all the interior cab by hand, shampooing the rug, and put seat covers and floor mats in. I also was thinking of armor-alling the dash and panels. I saw it for 6 bucks a quart in wal-mart. Does that stuff work, is it a good deal?

ARMOR ALL is the SHIZNIT. Not only can you use it for the interior but you can use it on the exterior as well.

Armor-All is nice for giving your interior a good shine.

Armour All is crap. Visit any decent car enthusiast forum, where guys talk about detailing, and you'll get the same response.

Look for products made by Mother's and Meguiars for starters. Much higher quality and better results.

If you really want to make that old car look new again, buy the Mother's clay bar kit and spend a few hours clay barring the car. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Get the armor all wipes. They are so much easier to use.

It's a good thing that you have a lot of free time on your hands because you'll probably have to re-apply it every couple of days. Isn't that stuff like 99.9% water or something?

Like Saltin said... Armor All isn't that great. Use something like Vinylex or 303 Aerospace Protectant instead.
