A/X had an online program called 'E-Points' where points were accumulated
when purchases were made online. I had several thousand points which
amounted to several hundred dollars worth.

On December of 2006, A/X decides to terminate the program and supposedly
notified customers via email, but most of my vendor emails end up in my
JUNK Mail folder and I never saw it. I recieve more than 500 junk mails per
day. Who reads then all??

I just returned back to the States after a 2 1/2 year work assignment to
Asia, and not knowing the E-Points program ended, I look up my account
status to find ALL my points wiped out. I called A/X customer service on
numerous occasions, demanding to talk to the manager responsible, but am
told he/she is in a meeting and that there is nothing the customer service
rep could do for me. I email A/X customer service and received the following
response:

"The A|X Armani Exchange Online E-points Program came to its completion
in accordance with the official E-points Program Rules. We appreciate your
interest and loyalty to the A|X Armani Exchange Brand."

I am sooooooo pissed. Is there anyway I can get my points back either in
the form of a gift cetificate or credit toward future purchases? I just
cannot accept A/X's answer. I feel I am being ripped off of several hundred
dollars.

What to do???????

Their points, their rules. You're almost definitely out of luck.
You didn't purchase the points themselves, so you won't have a strong enough claim to them. Points given as bonuses probably aren't guaranteed. IANAL applies.

don't shop at Armani Exchange anymore? If you are unhappy with the company practices, you have every right to shop elsewhere!

The fine print probably says that the company can do whatever they want with the point system.

Why do you feel ripped off? You still have the clothes. You got what you paid for.

The E-points thing sounds like a promotion - and promotions don't last YEARS. They sent you an e-mail and you didn't add them to your Safe Senders list. It's not their fault.

I have these cards from a ton of fast food joints - 'Get a free scoop of ice cream/footlong sub on your nth purchase!'. Hell, I don't expect those to be valid 3 months from now, let alone 30 months.

Not necessary really..
The company didn't do anything out of line.

It is a bit out of line actually. They set up a loyalty program to draw business that could have potentially went elsewhere. Then they decide to cancel the program. People like the OP might have honestly never known about the cancelation and that just isnt fair.

A complaint to the BBB would be a good idea IMO.

Thanks for the replies and constructive criticism/suggestions.

I have no reason to lie about not knowing that the program ended.
If I did know, of course I would have used the points.

My sister owns a clothing retail business and I purchased thousands
of dollars worth for her. What pisses me off is the fact that an expiration
date was not specified when A/X gave out the E-Points. What pisses me
off even more is the way they are treating me. Heck, I consider myself
a loyal customer, but look at what they are doing to me?! Even the supervisor
in charge refused to answer my calls when I demanded to speak to a higher
authority.

A complaint to the BBB is my best bet so far. Any other suggestions?

If A/X simply cancelled the program with no notice whatsoever, then you would probably have a legitimate complaint.

But A/X said they emailed you to notify you of the end of the program.

You can't expect A/X to run the program forever can you?

If you can prove that A/X never sent you any notification, then maybe you have an argument.
