! I saw the shell of one on the side of the road while walking yesterday. Anyone know why they die and always end up on their back?

Because they have a silly beliefe system where they think there is some mythical creature that made the universe and theres this "Heaven" that they want to be sent to.
So they look to the skys.

armadillos are suprisingly fast when you actually see one alive.
makes you wonder how they get hit by cars so often.

It does? Cars are fast than them critters. What is to wonder about?

Not the goose that smacked into a new Caddy infront of me this morning at 70 mph. Caddy didn't even have plates yet, looked like someone had dropped a bowling ball off a 6 story building onto the windshield.

I saw one once and...well I don't want to debate you...but this one was not winning any races. Dumb ah heck was just crossing the street really slowly and it was at night. If not for lightning reflexes and the superior braking performance of nissan's flagship sedan, that thing would have been toast!
