There is a whole lot I love about this game.

What I really enjoy is commanding an infantry squad. There is a pretty big command set, and I can't think of another FPS that really gives you this almost RTS / FPS feel.

The problem is they haven't released any SP missions yet for this game! :(

Can any of you ArmAphiles point me to some good community-made SP missions?

I've never really played ArmA much before this game, so I'm not that familiar with the community.

And yes, I know "ArmA is all about MP!!," but I don't have the time to invest in that. Plus, I really enjoy the tactical side of squad leadership, and thanks to how crappy "Takedown" ended up being, this is the only game that really gives me that opportunity.

Ugh, ARMA MP is usually overran by Wasteland, EvOlution, and DayZ servers.

Nothing is better than the SP...this goes for Operation Flashpoint: CWC, ARMA I, II, and III.

I really hope SP missions ramp up or at least interesting COOP ones. Playing the same thing with different graphics gets old.

I spent most of my time with Arma 2 making my own missions, scripting them, and running them, which is what I plan to do with Arma 3. I don't mind the lack of a SP campaign, but what I do mind is the small amount of aircraft available right now. Arma 2 had all sorts of contemporary military hardware to play with, from ground vehicles to attack choppers. Arma 3 offers only a few choices. The stealth blackhawk has potential for spec Ops missions, but realistically we need some CH-47s and UH-60s to really bring the realism out. This makes even the mission creator a shell of what it should be.

Currently it only works well for small scale, infantry driven skirmishes. This is one of the reasons that content isn't flying out for it. In comparison, Arma II gives you command of virtually every piece of offensive hardware the US Army has at it's disposal, plus some good stuff from the Navy and Marines also.

Once a few major content patches come out and people (ironically) have the equipment they need to carry out more elaborate missions, I'm sure we'll see more player driven content.

One of my favorite missions I created from Arma II was having 10 CH-47s follow in the wake of an F-18 air strike and drop off numerous troops who began to sweep and clear an entire airbase. I couldn't recreate this mission now if I wanted to.
