ARMA II screen flickering?

When playing ARMA II,I sporadicly get screen flickering within the game.

After I exit the game and get back into Windows,everything's fine.


(This is with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit,and a single EVGA GTX480.)

WTF could the problem be?

(None of my other games have this issue,just ARMA II.)
 
It seems as though We went from DirectX 9 to DirectX 11.1 amazingly fast.

If I had to venture a guess it would be a driver or DirectX issue.

Arma II was released in 2009, so was Resident Evil 5 which I currently have issues with. Page tearing - can only play in DirectX 9, DirectX 10 crashes instantly.

I am certain that their are workarounds for all the driver and DirectX issues that happen with somewhat older games but I would just contact AMD or Nvidia because the more people that contact them for issues with older games, the more likely they are to make drivers backwards compatible for legacy games and gamers.
