playing around with my new video card and man the effects are INTENSE when you finally get a beefed up system.

I could really benefit from a stronger processor but right now I'm running amd 64 x2 @ 3.0ghz and 4850

I don't think ARMA utilizes dual cores though ?

All kidding aside the graphics overall wasn't that great. The character and vehical models were good but the ground and building textures were really poor. All the civilians had like only 2 different outfits. What impressed me though was the draw distance. You can actually take sniper shots at 1000 meters out.

Anyone playing ARMA for the graphics or modeling is doing so for the wrong reasons. Nothing else comes close to it or OFP when it comes it comes to virtual battlefield games.
