Just got back from my vacation to Arizona. It was a great time, really got to make use of my new lenses between spring training baseball games and the Grand Canyon.

I took about 2,500 shots over 10 days, so I'm hoping to end up with a couple hundred really decent shots for keeping after I get through them all. In the meantime, I ran some quick processing on a few shots and uploaded them to my Smugmug account:

I know that several people were interested in the shots from the 10-20mm, and I think it really shines in the Grand Canyon shots. :)

Nice work. Made me feel like I was on the trip and captured all kinds of cool nuances.

Oh yeah....take the union station train shot, and just for grins convert it to monochrome.

The "dawn" photos are, but I think they are supposed to be since they were taken before sunrise so there wasn't a lot of sunlight.

Nice job! In my opinion, you have a good eye, able to make the mundane interesting.

Thanks for all the positive comments!

Yes, the dawn photos are correctly dark, as that's how it was. :)

In general, they also might be a little dark. When in manual mode, I tend to underexpose shots a bit; it seems easier to recover a good image from too-dark shadows than blown-out highlights.
