I don't think so. Some positions aren't captured by such stats. E.g., I don't believe there's been any vote on amnesty in this Congress.
Why must you ALWAYS find some other group's study to base an opinion upon? Do you not think that voters in AZ can see how he votes and what he says and decide for themselves?
I would hazard to guess that the average voter, uninformed as they seem, is both unaware of, and cares little, for some group's rating of McCain.

Are you serious? Why are you asking why I prefer objective and comprehensive analysis to people's gut feelings? That question answers itself. As for your opinion of what voters in AZ think about how he votes, I imagine extraordinarily few of those individuals voting to censure McCain actually had a comprehensive view of his voting record.
What would be truly scary would be if you were right and they were accurately assessing his voting record. That would mean that someone who has been extraordinarily conservative during his senatorial career by any objective measure I am aware of is no longer sufficiently conservative.
This would mean the radicalization is even worse than I thought, which is scary. Fucking crazies, indeed.
