I just called and the lady said the motherboard was an ECS 848P. It could be this one:

any amd combos in that ad?
 
I got the 2.8 combo yesterday at the DFW store. It's a Prescott core - supposedly ungodly overclockable, but no HT.🙁 The motherboard is in fact the ECS the OP cited. Only two RAM slots but it seems OK otherwise - not bad considering they basically gave it away.
