I hate when companies do their hiring process at different times. I've already accepted an offer from an awesome company, but a couple days ago, the other company I really want to work for (they're about even in desirability to me) sent me an email and just now someone called me to ask if I was interested in a spring/summer co-op. It would have been really nice to see what opportunities they would have offered 🙁.

Even if I could, the second company is not a guaranteed offer. It also seems unethical to me to back out of an offer so close to the start date that they wouldn't be able to get a replacement. And it's not like the job I accepted doesn't sound great.

If the companies are even in desirability and you've accepted the (presumably good) offer, then why worry? The other company was too slow, and your time is valuable. Their loss.

you can always use this line: I already received an offer from company "xyz", I need to hear from you ASAP
