ARGHHHH

First off, yeah I know, Algebra II is easy, and I shouldn't have done so poorly, but I'm NOT good at math. Bite me.

I had a 79% for the year, and in order to get a B for the final grade, I needed to get an 85% on my final (Final is 1/9 of my grade). On my report card, it shows that I got a B on my final, but a C for the year.

Therefore, even if I got an 80% on my final (the lowest possible), the lowest possible grade I could have gotten for my final grade is a 79.11111%. That's a bitch. I'm trying to contact my teacher now to see if she made a mistake, but she retired (this was her last year) so that's proving difficult. I'm waiting for my guidance counselor to call me back now.

There is some sort of irony in that post. I find it funny that you are now trying to be good at algebra, and to use algebra to show that your algebra teacher is wrong in her algebra.

I disagree. You are good at math. You just either (a) had a bad math teacher or two along the way or (b) don't put in enough time.

Probably a little of both. I found it hard to follow what she was saying most of the time. She probably just got to the point where she didn't care since it was her last year, which I guess is understandable.

It may be hard to do, but the best thing for you may be to repeat the class before going on in math. The key in math is to not skip to the next material until you have mastered the current material.

Eh, I think I got a good grasp, since I got a B on the final.

I just got a A+ in H. Algebra II. Sorry

:cookie: for you. I'm really just not good at math, I never have been. I got an A in honors history, though 🙂.

Bah. History is easy. I've gotten an A in every history class I've ever taken. Now, Multivariable calculus, that was a bitch, still pulled an A though. 😀

There goes my last shred of confidence 🙁 🙁.

Sorry to rain on your parade. IMHO, it's really all in the teacher you have. Plus, if you work at it, math is something you can really catch up in. I was slotted into the lowest math class in 8th grade (one step above remedial), and I got a 4 on the Calc AP test in 12th. Alg 2 was a b!tch, but I had a militaristic football coach teach it. He made me learn everything, and retain it.
