Waiting at the stop light getting ready to drop my friends off (dog in the back of the car), and some woman accidentally takes her foot off the break and hits the gas. From the looks of it, we got hit bad enough to slightly dislodge the rear bumper, but it doesn't appear that she did any damage outside of that (we'll see for sure tomorrow when the body shops open up). Anyway, got her insurance info, her information, car information, etc., and then drove off. That's the first time I've ever been hit...it sucked.

Anyway. Still coming down off the adrenaline rush. :|

Nope. Shiiit. Wasn't thinking about it at the time (like I said, first time I've ever gotten hit or been in an accident), and the damage seemed slight at most. What can happen were I not to get a police report? Bah.

You didn't get a report?

Man. That slight damage could be way worse than you think. If you get hit in the same place again, it could be much worse.

I'm on the phone with the police right now. There were two other people in my car (none in hers)...I guess in shock I didn't think about it.

Ok, just got off the phone with the police. They said that had I called at the time, they would have told me that I didn't need to call, and to just call my insurance (and the lady's insurance who hit us). I got all her information and have two witnesses, so I'm not super concerned. Still shaky from the accident though.

That's correct, the rest of these guys are cluebys. ;)
Police are needed to determine who is responsible for the accident, and how it occured.

Hmm. Well, I called them and they told me to just call my insurance, so I'm going to go through with that plan. :p

Yup. In a small simple accident like that, only the insurance agents/companies need be involved.
