Some cards like the x800xl are cheaper for PCIE. Since the g70 is pcie native, and the r520 will be also, expect agp versions of these cards to be more expensive, and possibly less available.
I think its just that AGP is still more popular and with the demand the price can be just a little lower. If you look at STEAM's stats they show a lot of older cards making up the majority of players.
PCI-E is more expensive with Nvidia right now because of SLI. Also, some cards are ported from AGP to PCI-E. In the next generation however, its almost garenteed that AGP cards will be more expensive than their PCI-E counterparts.
