ARgh... winxp doesnt see my burner as a burner

I have a pacific digital IDE 12x10x32 burner... running on winxp... im trying to use media player to burn a cd.. and NADA... i went to device manager.. and windows sees the drive as an scsi regular cd-rom... WTF!

I have a TDK 12/10/24 burner, (IDE) and windows XP just sees it as a regular cdrom drive to. I just use fireburner or nero to burn stuff.. Have you tried burning with a program other then windows media player?

ugh.. yeah.. i tried another program.. but that program was having problems seeing some of my mp3's... i'll have to try another
