argh! virtualdub + xvid error

I was doing some work on a batch of Xvids, only one of the movies gets this error.

Before you mention codecs, I did load Gspot and check.
According to Gspot I have the correct codec: 0x0055 (MP3, ISO) Mpeg-1 Layer 3
48000Hz 128kb/s

Note: the one movie file i have an error with the codec is listed as "XVID",
all the others the codec is listed as "xvid"... ?



Any ideas?
 
i've come across this problem before and the only explanation is it's a "bad" encode to begin with. You'll need another source file altogether to work from. I never did find a real solution for it.
